Mathnasium asked me to design a series of infographic posters which describe how Mathnasium works and some of the challenges facing today’s math students. Here are a few in the series which are currently on display in Mathnasium’s learning centers throughout the United States.
FocusVision, a company that provides survey and customer insights software for qualitative and quantitative research, asked me to create some infographics to explain some of the aspects of their business. The Evolution of Research Approaches explains how research and surveys fit into historical technological advances since the 1850s.
I created this timeline for my son’s fifth grade yearbook, to document events that happened throughout the school year. It included current events, school activities and community happenings. It was made in Adobe Illustrator as an 11×17 spread and was so well-received it was re-used in subsequent yearbooks.
Anyone who’s used Microsoft Word for anything other than basic word processing knows the challenge of creating free-form pages in the program, so I was daunted at being given the task of creating a tabloid-size newsletter for First 5 LA, a nonprofit child-advocacy organization in Los Angeles. Their local community groups required a layout they could customize, with text and picture placeholders, for monthly updates. Using their style guide as a foundation, I created a functional, adaptable document that’s playful and fun, and they were thrilled with the result.
